BE STILL and KNOW

BE STILL

PSALM 46-10 
"Be still and know that I AM God…"

The sound of silence brings a great peace.  It's in this place of stillness that I decided to begin a blog for those who seek peace and stillness in their lives.  I know that when we seek, we find. When we knock, a door is opened. Ask and we receive. It's a natural law of the universe we are a part of. It's in the stillness that we find the peace that passes our ability to understand. We see God face-to face. 


NO RELIGION

There is something basically wrong with religion. I won't go into details at this point. Just know that I will delve into the finer details of the spiritual side of life in this blog. Spiritual does not mean religious. No dogma. No requirements. NO traditions, hence NO RELIGION. 

I do however enjoy quoting the ancient metaphysical allegorical writing entitled, "Holy Bible". Most are familiar with the King James version. But the Bible was always an Eastern book filled with spiritual sayings and hiding deep wisdom beneath their outer stories. The characters in the Bible were never as important as the spiritual truth their lives convey. This is the beauty of "the book of books".  No religion. 




FACE-TO-FACE
Consider Jacob and the story of Jacob's ladder by example of allegory and it's deeper truth. 


In Genesis 32: Jacob lies his head upon a rock and falls asleep. In his slumber, he has a dream. A vision. He tells a story of wrestling with an angel and insists on a blessing. When he awakes, he declares: 




"And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved."

Jacob represents the first of what were soon to be called "Israelites" or those from the tribe of Israel.
